NEWS: Launch of Armed Forces Training Initiative with FREE training for The Officer’s Association
Premier IT is working with The Officer’s Association to offer FREE and exceptionally discounted training courses to its members. This comes as part of its recently launched Armed Forces Training Initiative that demonstrates Premier IT’s commitment to supporting the career progression of all serving and ex-military personnel.
The Armed Forces Training Initiative has started by offering a range of PRINCE2® project management courses to members of The Officer’s Association where only the cost of course materials and exams are payable. All trainers and facilities are provided free of charge. Courses, wherever possible, are also exclusive to armed forces personnel to ensure that delegates can benefit from tailored content for their unique backgrounds and future requirements. Where it is not possible to offer a course completely free of charge, a minimum discount of 60% is being provided.
Peter Bodley-Scott, Director, Premier IT and ex Army Officer says: “with project management being such a major focus in the careers of military personnel, Premier IT has seen this as an area where we can make a real difference, particularly to those who have a lot of practical project management experience but no formal qualification when the leave the forces and are applying for a civilian job”.
Members of The Officer’s Association have been overwhelmed by the offers being made available with over 60 members wanting to attend the first project management course on the Initiative. Feedback from those who have attended courses to date has been incredibly positive and as a result, Premier IT is now making its Armed Forces Training Initiative open to all military personnel.
Peter Bodley-Scott continues: “we have a number of ex-military employees at Premier IT and we understand the importance of civilian qualifications in forging careers post service. As part of our Initiative we will offer heavily discounted and free courses to any serving or ex-military individual. This offer will also extend beyond project management qualifications moving forward.”
